Golf Instruction
The Academy of Golf at StoneWater Golf Club is a creation of Bob Bourne, Director of Instruction at StoneWater. The objective of the Academy is to expose the Cleveland area to a golf school that offers all the same amenities as a nationally ranked school with the convenience of staying at home.

Improve your skills at StoneWater’s Academy of Golf The Academy of Golf constantly strives to have the best instructional programs and instructors available to teach all levels of ability. Our instructors teach the game of golf according the laws and principles of the golf swing while understanding the game’s rich tradition and history. “Having Fun While Learning” is our core objective and main priority.

Areas of Study The Academy of Golf will offer clinics, camps, schools, and private lessons to teach the following: putting, short game, bunker play, long and short iron play, fairway woods, driving, how to shape the ball, how to practice effectively, and more.
Golf Clinics
Brush-Up - This clinic is designed to brush-up existing fundamentals. Topics include: pitching, putting, bunker play, driving, iron play, and golf course management. Minimum of 4 students for four 90 minute sessions.
Short Game - This clinic is designed to teach short-game expertise. Topics include: pitching, chipping, putting, bunker play, and golf course management. Minimum of 4 students for four 90 minute sessions.
Golf Course Only - Held entirely on course, this clinic is designed to teach advanced course knowledge including golf course management, strategy, and USGA rules. Minimum of 3 students for four 90 minute sessions.
Beginners Only - Designed for beginners, this clinic is designed to teach the fundamentals of the game. Topics include: grip, stance, club selection, putting, iron play, driving, and more. Minimum of 4 students for four 90 minute sessions.
Couples Only - This clinic is designed to teach couples how to play and enjoy golf together. Topics include a wide range of study from basic fundamentals to concentrated instruction. Maximum of 2 couples for four 90 minute sessions.
Juniors Only - This clinic is designed to teach juniors fundamental techniques, etiquette, and appreciation for golf’s traditions. Instruction tailored to age group; handouts included. Boys and girls under 16 years old. Eight 60 minute sessions.

Golf Schools
Half Day School - This total package includes green and cart fees, warm-up session, video lesson, 2 hours of on-course instruction, textbook, and special Academy tee wrap-up. Three students for four hour session.
Junior Camp - This total package for the experienced junior golfer concentrates on course strategy, course management, playing under pressure, tournament preparation, USGA rules, and more. Includes: lunch, notebook, personal video, and favor. Twelve students per camp. Juniors under 16 with golf experience must have their own clubs. Three day camps include 15 hours of instruction.
Junior Player’s School - Designed for junior players who want to improve their accuracy and playing proficiency. Includes three 90 minute morning or late afternoon sessions.
